Our Doctors

Dr. Andrea Beatty

Dr. Beatty was raised in Dodge City, KS and has always had an interest in science. She covered her bases by spending time at KSU and KU. She received her BA in Human Biology with honors before attending the University of Missouri St. Louis School of Optometry. During optometry school, she was an intern at a premiere LASIK surgery center and spent a second internship working with challenging contact lens fits. She also discovered the enjoyment of working with pediatrics. One of her passions is making sure children’s visual issues are found and corrected at the earliest age possible.

Dr. Eric Beatty

Dr. Eric Beatty received his B.S. in Zoology at Iowa State University and his Doctorate from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago in1998.  He received his clinical training at the VA Medical Centers of Tuscaloosa, AL, Manchester, NH and the University of Chicago Hospitals and Clinics specializing in ocular disease.  After several years in private practice, he has spent the last 7 years at Cavanaugh Eye Center specializing in medical management of the cornea & anterior segment disease, LASIK/refractive, cataract surgery, and corneal transplant management in a comprehensive ophthalmology clinic.   In addition to his clinic, Dr. Beatty is a national lecturer and speaker on cornea and anterior segment disease, keratoconus and specialty contact lens fitting, and refractive surgical management.

Dr. Julie Zybko, OD

Dr. Zybko is a native Kansan. She grew up in Hill City and currently resides in Shawnee. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology with honors from the University of Kansas. She received her Doctorate of Optometry with honors from Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon. Dr. Zybko’s clinical training focused on ocular disease and contact lens fitting.
Prior to joining Westglen Eyecare, Dr. Zybko has worked in private practice optometry in the Kansas City area for 14 years. She is passionate about providing personalized care to her patients and is grateful for the opportunity to serve this community.
